What we do:
We want to educate and inform people in order to achieve community and personal self-sustainment without state, corporate and hierarchal domination. We believe education in general is key to awakening discontent, as well as building solidarity and confidence amoung those who are already discontent.
We actively support politics and lifestyles that we deem as alternative, multicultural, woman-positive, queer-positive, class-concious, and all the things that promote a sustainable community.
For Staffers:
We sell anarchist and radical literature, propaganda, clothing, and music, but that’s not all we do. We also serve as a space for the community. We are all volunteer and collectively run and owned. There is no management here; the shop is run by our efforts and not by orders. For this to work, we must be self-motivated and take it upon ourselves to do tasks in the store that need to be done. Otherwise, a few people are stuck doing many tasks. You choose your level of involvement, the number of days you’ll spend staffing or being responsible for other tasks that need to be done.”
