May Day Books and Infoshop is a nonprofit grassroots educational and informational project committed to providing the working class with resources that will assist their effort to understand and transform the world.
We distribute a variety of books, periodicals, pamphlets, audio and video tapes, and other educational materials on contemporary political, economic and social issues through our bookstore and lending library.
We function as an infoshop by providing a space in which activists, organizers, researchers and others can share resources. For the local community and greater metropolitan area, May Day Books and Infoshop sponsors forums, panels, readings, film screenings, and study groups.
At May Day Books and Infoshop the general public can become acquainted with a broad range of social organizing efforts (local, national, and international), and learn how to become actively involved.
May Day Books and Infoshop is collectively run and staffed by volunteer labor.
