Pitch Pipe Infoshop aims to be a community center for the Tacoma, WA community. As Tacoma is sort of a midpoint for Cascadia, we hope to serve as a center for networking, idea sharing, and organizing in the region.
Pitch Pipe features a radical lending library (with books, films, music, and zines), computers with internet access, conversations and ideas, coffee and tea. The space may also be open for organizing and meeting, skill sharing, movie nights, and hopefully more. There is an initial focus on anarchist theory and practice, radical women’s studies,
indigenous struggles, and people of color issues.
The name Pitch Pipe is an acknowledgment of Tacoma’s anarchist music scene and a metaphor for creating the “pitch” or the direction we want society to go: a new world free of authority and based on love and sharing.
